Hi guys.
Just want to know if there is a problem cutting back plum trees to fence height every year, or is that a bad practice? I have two, around 5-6 years old, and this time of year, I generally cut them back to fence height for convenience, as well as thinning out the branches.
Also, while I'm at it, I bought the two plum trees at the same time for cross pollination, but they seem to be 3-4 weeks out of sync. Can anything be done? I've only ever had 3 or 4 plums since planting.
Thanks.
TJ
