Re: RETAINING WALL HELP PLEASE 14Apr 10, 2016 7:10 pm So I followed all the instructions best I could im just worried about the fall I couldn't seem to get it going downhill easily. I spent all day trying to sort it which made me angry lol 1. I placed about 20 to 30mm off gravel above the clay. 2. I placed the geo fabric in a u shape as instructed 3. I put the socked agline down and ran a 1 metre spirit level over the top of the pipe in spots I swear it was running uphill probably very minimal will this have any detrimental effect? I had very good fall for the first 4-5 metres then the next 10 metres is a bit sketchy minimal uphill maybe then the last 5 metres good downhill flow. 4. About 100mm from the top I wrapped the excess geo fabric over the gravel and then placed another 30mm of gravel on top, I then covered with soil approx 60mm - 70mm. I tried throwing a blasted hose down the aggy before I laid gravel all over it so see if my fall was ok was unsuccessful it just drained the water over the gravel at the bottom im hoping this is because it wasn't fully covered in gravel. Thank you again Simeon.. I will call my certifier for that. Have a good day 4 5196 Thanks for your reply! All valid points and I agree with you on many of them. I am in QLD, any recommendations on a construction lawyer would be helpful 3 2649 Thanks for the insights, that makes perfect sense, and yeah, I will be leaning on the experience of the excavator operator entirely. 6 16157 |
