Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Apr 01, 2016 8:08 am Hi all. I have a row of Triple treat (https://goo.gl/photos/XFe6f26rbxsWdSUS7) in my retaining wall. The wall is drained very well with ag line and gravel in the botom 80% of depth. The top 20% is garden soil with a layer of Eucalyptus mulch on top of that. There is a geotextile layer between soil and gravel. I watered daily on planting and the plant seemed to suffer. I stopped watering completely and it bounced back incredibly, expanding and flowering densely. Since then I have rarely watered and while most clusters look healthy, some have branches that seem to have died off for no reason (see pictures). I have seen quite a few small aphid looking bugs hanging around on both the healthy and unhealthy looking plants, so I sprayed all with a general purpose insecticide. Does anyone have any advice on why there are dead clusters?
