Good thing I like limes squeezed over veggies and certain food. That looks like a pretty good amount of limes Custom downslope build Build thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=61873 Blog http://www.buildingroyalmanor.blogspot.com.au Re: Lime Tree 5Mar 27, 2016 9:03 am I picked more off it yesterday, it's now lime free. Think I've had this one for about 3 years...I have another 2 that I've had longer but next door won't spray their lemon tree so my 2 lime trees suffer every year with the fruit being eaten by stink bugs. The tree I got all the limes off is on the other side of my block. Its a little bush also. I find though that if I spend half an hour on it pulling the little buggers off and squishing them that for the next few weeks I only have to check it every few days and there are very few bugs left if any. Two things citrus love - lots of fertiliser and lots of water. If you are growing it in a large container, over summer I'd be watering it at least two times a week. Have you had that happen to you yet, watch your eyes. http://ecoorganicgarden.com.au/problem- ... range-bug/ Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: Lime Tree 11Mar 30, 2016 10:27 am I used some gardeners gloves to keep the liquid off my skin but I also used a pair of long nosed pliers to grab them. I didn't get any in my eyes but the gloves and my arms copped it a few times. The gloves have been washed with detergent and left on the line for a few weeks to " air ". My arms took about six cleans with hand wash and soap before I got rid of most of the smell. Strong stuff indeed ! No wonder they are called stink bugs! Stewie Hello. I just bought a few acres in Habana, Mackay, and my horses seem to love hanging around under this tree. I would like to name the paddock after this tree. Can… 0 9556 Fellow Perth dweller. Looks like pruns nigra. It's a dark leaf flowering plum. Doesn't get massive and is easily trimmed deciduous tree. Very popular in small gardens in Perth 7 2792 |
