Some need to be cut back, and I don't currently have the right equipment. Because of the height of the trees, I am either going to be up on a ladder in the garden with the power tools, or alternatively using a powertool with a pole attachment. I probably prefer the pole approach. I have seen pole-pruners which look like a chainsaw on a stick, and also have seen pole hedge trimmers. Was shown the Honda versatool today which is a $600 motor that I would then attach either a hedge trimmer or pruner attachment to. The branches are mainly around 1cm now, and obviously will grow thicker. Would appreciate some recommendations on which product to buy to do this, ie hedge trimmer style or pole-chainsaw style.
