Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Jan 20, 2016 8:31 pm Hi guys, I wonder if anyone has experience with garden edging? We've laid some road base (will be some concrete 'pads' constructed for granite pavers to be glued to) My concern is that the compacted road base will fall away between the edging and the garden bed. I wanted to mount the aluminium edging on top of the compacted road base. I dont really want to use wooden sleepers if I can help it). Perhaps we have excavated too much soil. Unfortunately it was a horrible thick clay. Maybe we should fill the garden soil first to retain the road base?
