Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Sep 22, 2015 2:50 pm Hi all We have finished our carport and front driveway renovation. We are after a designer or someone who can assist us to specify some plants and help design our front garden. The front of the house faces east, gets a bit of sun in the morning but mostly in shade apart from the Guava tree in the front left as you drive into the driveway. Some initial thoughts below: - native - green and busy - larger plants towards the back - right corner of house (looking at photo) larger tree that will hide the next door neighbours house a bit - some thinner type 2m high plants for the left hand side of the carport - some colour perhaps, jasmine, or lavendar etc, - some smaller bushes at the front of the house to hide the gas meter and the bottom of the house where the front window is We'd be looking to spend around $400 to 500 on a designer to assist with this. Do you think this would be achievable? We can buy the plants and do the work ourselves, its just specifying and assisting with the design. We are based in the south east suburbs of Melbourne. The fence will be painted a charcoal or Dulux Woodlands Grey or Black/Kelp Some photos below Thanks! Re: Garden Help needed - Melbourne 2Sep 30, 2015 9:14 pm We can certainly help you with this. Hi CrazyK - just came across this - we used diggers.com.au service - we are members, it was incredibly affordable and Keith did an amazing job! Would highly recommend! https://www.diggers.com.au/gardendesign/ Fig Landscapes has produced an e-book and native plant index, available for purchase from their website.
