We have some large and medium sized palm trees in our yard and a number of people have told us to sell them before we move. Is there a market for these? Does anyone know best place to advertise and how much? Thanks

Your local council or shire might have some contacts for you! Land developers sometimes use them for landscaping too. Re: Palm trees 3Aug 28, 2015 10:58 pm Why are peeps telling you to sell? If they are in pots and you don't want to take, sure. But if planted, how do you propose that will work? They are not easy to move and transplant. There are a lot posted on Gumtree 'free if you remove' because they are a lot of work to remove. Don't think you'll sell easily. I want to plant palms in my new house, so I've been watching/researching this very issue. Re: Palm trees 4Aug 28, 2015 11:45 pm Hi TC, when we were in suburbia there were land developers a few years ago asking for mature palms or other trees to plant out. They would pay for a bobcat to dig 'em out. People usually sell because the palms are now too big for the garden and they don't want to pay for lopping or removal themselves.
