In our new build we have a North facing kitchen window. There is nothing to look at out the window but a fence however we need the light. The window is behind the sink. I'm not a green thumb and we want low maintenance but I've always wanted to grow something..
What are ideas for what we can put on the N fence (Newcastle). It doesn't have to be plants but I thought a hanging herb garden might be nice, or if that's too hard then shrubs? The aim
Would be to provide a view out the window and a little bit of privacy without blocking light. Trying to make the northern aspect as pleasant as possible. We also have some louvres on that window further along the wall in the living room so some plants there might be nice. The only shrubs I've know about for making screening are something like Lilly pillies.
Is a hanging garden tricky to set up/look after, how much would a landscaper charge?
