Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Jul 07, 2015 10:17 am Hi All, We are building on a block that has about 2.5m slope from back to front (higher at the back) but also a little from the left to the right. As a result our house has structural changes on the right hand side with the garage dropped just over a metre. What that has left us with is a slope on the right hand side between the fence and the house wall - the gap is just over a metre. One option we have is to create a retaining wall between the back edge of the garage wall to the fence and then fill in above to create a flat area to the backyard (this is where our laundry comes out). However the builder has told us that they would need to do quite a bit of work for this to happen. They have advised us to create a deck instead of the retaining wall and then have a screen to cover the dropdown to the garage. I wanted to see if any of you had other ideas? I will post the construction diagram as soon as i work out how to. Any recommendations for builders for a KDRB in North Warrandyte ?
