Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Jun 17, 2015 11:05 pm I've ordered some 20mm sandstone pavers with bullnose for the edges to lay on my alfresco (existing concrete slab). It'll need a bit of screeding as well - what's a reasonable price to lay them per m2? I've been quoted $140 / m2 and was honestly expecting somewhere in the rough vicinity of $50 - $100 a square metre. But I've never done this before so could be just my usual I don't know how much stuff costs to do! Thoughts? p.s. I am sealing them myself. What's a reasonable price for laying sandstone tiles / paver 2Jun 19, 2015 8:01 pm Price is about right. Depends where you are though. They usually lay with mortar/glue on the slab then stick the stone on. Then grout it. So there is bags of cement, sand, glue , grout etc then labour. If its just laid on a sand base on top a slab then yeah $50-100 is about right. Pros dont lay sandstone on sand in Melb though. If fact the good ones won't lay any real stone tile of 20mm on anything but concrete slab and mortar. I had 28m2 of engineered pavers laid six months back and it was difficult to find someone not taking the pi$$. Internet suggested it should be $85-100/m2 to lay them.… 3 12380 Seems good to me. I've been told $4-5k/sqm is reasonable in Perth. 2 11166 I'm about to put down some Merbau. Is it necessary to oil underneath the boards before laying? 0 1930 |
