Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Mar 12, 2015 6:56 am I am creating an instant screen from Mountain Ash trees I will put in pots ( can't go in the ground due to a stormwater easement ). Intent is to: - paint the fence monument ( a dark colorbond colour ) - put in a 1m wide garden bed along the fence line that the trees in pots will sit in ( trees spaced 1m apart ). Thinking tea tree or pine bark mulch. Small decorative shrubs will be planted as an understory in front of the pots. Should I keep the pots white ( for contrast against the painted fence ) or paint them a darker colour? Pic below of the trees and the pots ( 15 in total ). I think the white is too stark. But - on the question of mountain ash - aren't they Victoria's tallest tree? Or are these dwarf varieties? How big will they grow? 0 4703 Fig Landscapes has produced an e-book and native plant index, available for purchase from their website. It's a great resource, full of inspiration and tips.
