Any suggestion for a ground cover that is not very hard to maintain. I am in WA so very sandy soil. Lots of sun comes that side. If so, Banksia blechnifolia (I think that's the right spelling!) is tough, doesn't need much water once established, and being a banksia likes beach sand & full sun. It has about a 2 metre square spread. Also there are some spreading groundcover grevilleas that might suit. For something very different, on my landscape thread "landscaping our half acre heaven" you'll see pics of "Cousin It", actually a sheoak, Casuarina glauca so again quite a hardy plant. Its very effective on a bank or weeping over some rocks and I'm using acacia limelight as well, for the contrast colour. Lastly what about the mondo grasses? Lots of choice there with different coloured foliage, but they do like their water....
