Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Feb 18, 2015 7:19 pm Hey all Just need some advice as to whether our landscaper is doing the right thing. As per photos below, we are having some decking done at the back. I noticed one of the footing has a drainage pipe of some form going through it. Would it be an issue with the footing breaking the pipes?? Cheers ! Or even put some dirt back in to cover it, it doesn't appear to be supporting a huge load. Personally im more impressed the orga didnt rip it out, and wouldn't be bothered if he simply concreted over it as is. Re: Decking Footing Advice 3Feb 18, 2015 10:03 pm I did see another hole (no photos), the footing was directly on top of the pipe. That hole was not as deep as the others. Would it be a problem if the concrete over it? Versaloc is a mortarless besser block system that still needs a properly engineered footing. If you just do a 400x200 footing it will fail in time. At 17m long you need it… 1 15211 Hi, as per the subject. Does anyone have any recommendations for the best value decking oil (Bunning is close to where I live) for a treated pine deck? Thanks 0 10940 yep sounds good make the footing bigger to to allow for the pipe in the middle 3 7250 |
