Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Feb 05, 2015 10:09 pm Hi, I am currently looking for landscaping quotes and have got the quotes in details below. Somerfield Keysborough 2Feb 06, 2015 10:08 am Hazzatsa the costs sound reasonable to be. Decking and paving are generally very expensive. We did not pay any less than your quote. Just wondering why your landscaper chose kikuyu? It's so aggressive you will be forever pulling it out of garden beds. Some people like it because it's hard to kill. Re: Landscaping quotes help! Somerfield Keysborough 5Oct 15, 2015 4:34 pm I've no idea if the pricing is good, but gosh looks high! I need to get landscaping done and thought about having a professional come in, but at that price I'll be doing it myself. Would love to see your plan, it looks like it will be great. Re: Landscaping quotes help! Somerfield Keysborough 6Oct 15, 2015 5:08 pm The paving and decking looks reasonable albeit a little expensive the rest of it bar the excavation is a rip. To put it in perspective the kikuyu is 7 bucks a square meter from the supplier. Gravel is cheap as, well, rocks and treated pine is about 4 bucks a meter. Considered doing some of this stuff yourself? Also you could hire a labourer for 300/400 bucks to help you. Somerfield Keysborough 7Oct 15, 2015 7:29 pm I reckon it all looks reasonable enough. Blue stone paving on a slab is around $250 - 300 m2 supply/install/grout/seal so you actually have a good price. Labour is the killer with landscaping.. It requires several guys/girls which are billed to you from $66+ an hour. Adds up quick. As mentioned the kikuyu supply/install seems high, the grass is about $500 delivered so another $1000 to roll it out is a bit rich, 2 hours tops for 2 people.. There is no soil prep as that is quoted seperately. So ask what the $1000 labour is for? Also don't forget that all supplied materials are about 20% dearer, which is the builders margin for organising it all. Hmmm, I have checked your past posts and it seems that you are in NSW, not WA as I had thought. It pays to show your State in your avatar. Retaining wall regulations… 5 7845 Hi, you've probably already resolved this, however, Commbank will probably pay the funds to you after you send evidence the work is done regardless the change in the quotes. 1 35192 Ideally you would engage a landscaper to give you some insight what they may need in the space to make your vision come to life… 1 13622 |
