Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Jan 29, 2015 11:15 am Hi, I will be pulling out the existing Olearia lirata that the council requested I plant. It's not an attractive shrub. I will replant it elsewhere.
Can someone recommend me plants or small trees to use against my fence (inside retaining wall). The plant/tree will be seen from my living room. I want to plant approximately 8 plants or small trees spaced approx 1m-1.2m apart. It needs to look good planted immediately as I may be putting the house on the market soon. I will be retaining the Weeping Cherry. I have 24 Magnolia 'little gems' on the front/side of my house. As much as they are beautiful foliage plant, I'm thinking of using something else, but may consider planing them depending if you think it's a good idea. Up to $30 or $40 per plant Considerations- - More Magnolia little gems - Sweet Vibirnum - ornamental pear - Pyrus calleryana - Syzygium Superior - lilly pilly Backyard Bliss - roses I'm open to suggestions as I'm not a great landscaper. Thanks DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair I'm in WA and our sandy soils make drainage a bit easier but this is what I'd be doing. Dig down to your footings and let the wall dry out.
