Has anyone cut a massive amount out of there backyard to level and if so did u have to get engineering details for this? Also what would be the cost for an engineer to draw proposed contours up for this cut to get approved? But council only allows 600mm cut & said no way they'll approve a cut that big. But spoke to cdc and they can approve as long as it's 1m off the boundary. But it does need to be approved. So need proposed new contours and retaining walls approved if over 1m or materials used need reinforcement. Just not sure if cutting out is the way to go cost wise or terracing as it all depends on engineer and soil dig out/disposal costs.
