Hi everyone,
I have a couple of Kentia palms in pots that I wanted to plant out in the garden eventually. They'd been next to a north facing window in the house and then in early spring I moved them (still in their pots) into the garden for "acclimatisation". It didn't work well. After a few weeks the fronds were browning and I brought them back under cover on the deck.
They now get a few hours of early morning sun but no more. One is still alive and putting out new fronds. The other seems to have stopped growing. It had a couple of new spikes on their way up when it was out in the garden but these haven't grown at all in the last few months. It hasn't turned any browner or keeled over though. It's just sitting there not growing. Apart from a few brownish fronds it doesn't look that bad really. It's about 1.5m tall and quite a pretty palm.
Is it a lost cause if the new spikes aren't growing at all or is there still hope?
Thank you!
