Looks like mortarless blocks of some description are probably the easiest way to go about it. Looking at about 1200mm long, 800mm wide and 800mm high (roughly) Anyone have any suggestions for a "system" that: * looks good (from at least one side) * really is just "stack and leave" * doesn't cost $200 per block Happy to take other suggestions too, but hoping to DIY rather than get a brick layer... Re: Mortarless blocks for small wall 2Jan 18, 2015 4:01 am i am helping son (he is doing most of it) build a wall in a back garden. and came across these http://diysuperstore.com.au/ezywall-ret ... block.html called hunterstone . we laid them on concrete footings, then others were stacked on . they use a plastic clip as a connect. very very easy to use. lightweight as well. the front wall of our house we built used blocks that were very heavy. , this may not be what you are after but just throwing out the idea. The only thing I can't figure out with all of them is how you "end the wall" - i.e. I want a solid face at the end, so it needs some kind of block with an edge. Those span tables can be pushed a little for a low deck if you dont mind a little flex. Last deck I did, I pushed it a little and it was still rock solid - no noticeable… 6 13762 Do I need to concern about this pattern of crack? Is this crack showing some signs of bigger problems?
