Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Dec 06, 2014 5:08 pm We are almost at the end of our house build. Going to try and do our own landscaping. We have a 9m x 17.5m front yard and slightly bigger back yard. At the moment, the site has lots of debris and weeds on it. Can anyone give us an idea of what is required to clear the site ourselves so that we can start planting a lawn and trees, shrubs etc? For example, equipment required, length of time, finances? Also, what is the best way of clearing weeds and minimizing the chances of them returning whilst the lawn is yet to establish. thanks Re: DIY site preparation for landscaping 2Dec 08, 2014 11:16 pm A tradesman and a bobcat could level it all in a day and remove excess soil and debris.
