I have filled up a green waste bin trying to pull them out and still they're growing like crazy!! Is there a winter grass killer that will kill the winter grass and stop the rest from growing, and that wont kill kikuyu? i dont know how to attatched a photo of the winter grass or the beetle. but apparently the winter grass is called POA ANNUA. It will smash your grass as they eat the root system. Makes the grass look as though it needs water, so you water it roots grow beatles eat roots and so on. Best spray is Yates Baythroid, apply with pressure spayer, then water in. Beatles will die and come to the surface. We get about 10 - 20 dead beatles per square foot. So pays to keep on it.
