Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Oct 21, 2014 1:59 pm Hi all I was hoping someone could help me with this. I've contacted several people including an Advanced Tree farm and have conflicting opinions. I want to put in a tree in our backyard. I got a landscape designer to design a garden plan. She was very knowledgable and helpful. I did ask for a "maple leaf type tree" to be included. Also was interested in Chinese Tallow elsewhere in the garden. So she chose Acer negundo 'Variegatum' (Ghost Maple) Here's a link with info and a pic: http://www.flemings.com.au/ornamental_d ... Does anyone know if this is a generally true statement? I would really love to have the Ghost Maple in my backyard. It's beautiful! Otherwise, would people recommend Chinese Tallow instead? I've read that their sap, leaves etc cause irritation when touched. Is that true? Thanks so much for your time! Re: Which backyard tree that is best for WA climate?
