Re: ..........Help add the WOW factor to my front! please!!. 5Oct 05, 2014 9:41 am 2-cupcakes-pls My plans are to have a low brick fence, grass and lots of trees!!! No one has trees these days That's because there's nowhere to grow the trees, particulary if you are in estates like Yarrabilba (blocks as small as 280 sq m !). As much as it is nice to have a few trees around the place, the issues come later on down the track, when the trees get to full size and become a danger to the house, or simply their leaf litter starts blocking up gutters and the like. Luckily I'm on 4661sq m block, so I'm able to put in stuff like princess trees and the like. Owner Building at Jimboomba Woods in Logan City Qld. Re: ..........Help add the WOW factor to my front! please!!. 8Oct 06, 2014 12:58 am Be careful what trees you pick cupcakes, coz the roots can push up your paving and they will tend to hog the water at the expense of smaller plants around them! I am sure a landscaper could give you the correct info on ideal plants for your lovely spot there! Some raised garden beds near the house might be nice.
