Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Oct 02, 2014 1:45 pm I have a plant in my garden that was planted by the people who lived here before me and I`d like to know what its called, but I haven't been able to find it on the internet. I think its a type of yucca and in the last couple of weeks its been growing a big flower stalk. The plant is a grey/green sort of colour and the leaves feel a bit like sandpaper. Hopefully someone on here will know what it is https://imageshack.com/i/f0ipjUkpj Re: What plant is this? 2Oct 02, 2014 4:42 pm Yes it's a yucca, from the agave family. Sandpaper type leaves are typical of certain agaves. Re: What plant is this? 4Nov 03, 2014 2:27 pm Its a big genus. Might try googling for the flower when it's produced, that could nail it for you. Re: What plant is this? 5Nov 24, 2014 2:11 pm Thanks for your help, im not going to look into it anymore because I want to build a pergola/outdoor room in the area where the plant is and if I do I`ll be getting rid of the plant, it seems as though its dying anyway and the leaves have all drooped and shrivelled since the flower stems grown. 0 4698 |
