Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design Empire Zoysia turf help - Why is it different in one spot? 3Apr 08, 2016 11:08 pm baldy Just reviving this thread. i have exactly the same problem, but far worse in my rear lawn. The front (sourced a few months later from the same place) is fantastically healthy and clean of any weeds or mutant growth. The lawns were prepped exactly the same, with the same soils and amendments, with no chance of existing lawns coming through. This other type really outgrows the Zoysia and has really taken over. Supplier suggested poisoning with bindii & clover killer as it won't affect the Zoysia. But it is too far gone so will dig up and replace. It's still annoying and an unnecessary expense. Listen to the turf farm use a herbicide.. Don't rip it up for gods sake. You need to figure out exactly what weed it is, if it's a paspalum (most likely) there is a selective spray which will kill it and only slightly brown the zoysia.. which will recover.. 6 4360 A Sabco spin mop, minimal moisture, not very regularly. I was told these hybrids are water resistant 🤷♀️ 2 7645 yep you need a joint, foam is easiest, will look fine once rendered with a joint. 2 5244 |
