Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Jul 03, 2014 7:43 pm hello guys, we are considering to place spikes under trees, and i am stuck on the issue of how many lumens should i purchase my GU10 led lamps! I am thinking 300 or 380 lumens, thinking that the more the better for the garden... Am i thinking correctly? Thanks! Re: How many lumens for garden spikes? 2Jul 06, 2014 6:53 pm Firstly, there are now dedicated LED garden lights, which cast more light than generic GU10, and are much smaller. Second, with garden lighting, less is more. Select one or two feature trees, and light those. If you light everything, the effect and point of garden lighting is lost. The light output will depend on how tall the tree is, and what effect you are looking for, ie just plain lighting, or silhouette. Finally, consider the activities around the tree; do you need lights recessed into the ground for mowing, or would a spike work. I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending. All their existing trades and businesses don't work with… 14 105571 They already have two well known ones (HIA & MBA) that many new home buyers mistakenly think are regulatory bodies that Joe Public can complain to. 6 18022 |
