We are looking at building a retaining wall using austral heron blocks with a concrete footing in the front of the house to a hight of 1m. We are planing to do this ourselves with only getting the concreters to do the footings. does anyone know if we need to set the wall back from the foot path? I am getting conflicting answered from varius people of 400m and 1m. Quite a few properties on our street have them built right at the front.
