Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design Re: Turf Query for Melbourne 10Jul 11, 2014 12:45 pm applor its Mine is not looking good.. I have put 100sqm of Palmetto and been over 5 weeks.. all edges are showing and looks a bit yellow on all edges.. and the green is also not lush.. my neighbours sir walter looks great who laid it 1-2 months before me in Melbourne.. Can give pics if someone can suggest anything.. Have been spraying Seasol every 2 weeks (done twice only) 5 weeks is nowhere near long enough, especially given its the middle of winter. Once you hit summer those edges will start to re-grow and the lawn will lush up. Every newly laid turf will have dead edges and patches. Mine had nearly 3 whole squares that died and it took until the next summer for them to grow out and blend in with the rest of the lawn. I would hold off with any more fertilizing until spring when temperatures rise. Just make sure it doesn't dry out (but don't over water) Thanks.. I have been watering it and leaving it to nature as well.. hopefully they come back in September.. looks dull green and yellow.. putting seasol every fortnight.. not doing any more fertilizer 2 7184 There is no reason why building contract reconciliation cannot be done prior to handover, if the builder won't do it get someone to do it for you. Why would you pay for… 3 6682 They using concrete or timber sleepers? Timber or steel uprights? Any drainage behind sleeper? 3 5862 |
