Question about retaining wall...

Hi there, I have a house almost finished construction. It is a corner block. Due to flood zoning issues, the slab is 30omm above footpath level, so naturally my whole sideway and front yard falls away from the house. This is a good thing to keep water away from the slab, but the slope is too high. I want to build a besa block retaining wall inside the fence line he whole length of the sideway and the front yard as to make my block almost level.

The wall will need to be about 300-400mm high. For the foundations of the wall, I was planning to lay a bed of concrete to lay the blocks in, and I am going to drive a rio bar down through the gap in the blocks and fill it with mortar for strength every few metres. For drainage I am going to run an aggi pipe with fall along the inside base of the wall with the correct crushed rock around it etc. (My bro in law is a plumber he will take care of the drainage part).

Is anyone able to tell me if this will be strong enough? Any tips anyone can share? Thanks

LukeBee If your only going 2 blocks high at most this is what id do.
Try to get the footing as level and flat as possible as this will make laying the blocks easier.
Use H blocks every where you can as they lock together when filled. Put vertical bars every 900mm and a continuous horizontal bar between the 2 coarses.
Fill the blocks with concrete not mortar, and its roughly 125 blocks per 3m of core fill.
