Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Now this is going to be a complete eye sore once the landscaping has been done. So my question is are we allowed to cover it or does it have to be visible? Because its going to look horrible Re: Need help with landscaping 2Apr 06, 2014 8:23 pm Hi Stayxtrue, That looks like a water meter to me. Is that right? Both potable water and recycled water. Is that the question? Or is it the concrete cap in the centre of the picture? A bit hard to see. I assume this is for access to the sewer. You may need to get creative with your landscaping. Possibly a planter bed with some attractive mulch? My mum had a sewer man hole cover (huge one) in the front of her place that was covered with turf for about 20 years and nobody ever touched it. A few years ago, access was required and some blokes came and dug up the turf to access the sewer. They then replaced the concrete cap. Now this concrete cap is clearly evident at the edge of her lawn. If this is an access point, then access will be needed at some point. You should be able to cover it with some form of mulch or something similar so that you don't need to look at it all the time. I hope this helps. Cheers, Jenny. Need hints, tips and inspiration?
