Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Mar 18, 2014 4:08 pm Hi all I laid sapphire turf 4-5 weeks ago (wishing found this forum before I did so I could have prepared the ground better ). I sprayed the wild grass with glyphosate and let it die then had a contractor in a bob cat come through and scrap off what he could and use the spoil (form the cut and fill of the property) to raise and level the rest of the yard. I then spread a layer of organic compost over the top. The base ground is clay. I've found the grass has taken off in parts not so much in others. There seems to be one or two 'strips' that seem to have not taken off like the rest (pics below) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ What is the best way to deal with these bad spots? Pull it out and lay a fresh strip in? Spread some top soil over the top and water in with some seasol? What about any areas that seem to be completely dead? Should I pull it out and cover the area with sand/soil or leave it be? I know I have curl grub and looking through the forum although these could be an issue I'm not pointing the finger at them yet I've now noticed the grass has gone to a real dark green in patches? Is this normal should I be concerned?
