This first one was from a guy who runs a wholesale nursery from his house. 7ft tall flowering weeping apricot - $40... (Bunnings $120 and local nursery $200) If you want this guys details feel free to ask. You will save him (and you) more money by not using the ebay system. He has a reasonable range available... Re: Cheap trees and shrubs 16Jul 13, 2008 7:23 am If anyone still has this guys details I would be really grateful as we move into our new house in around 4 weeks and we need LOADS of plants Re: Cheap trees and shrubs 17Jul 16, 2008 10:15 pm I will very rarely advise to buy plants from car boot sales, backyards, or the *** nursery down the road.
This is because the nursery industry works very hard to maintain standards of plant hygiene and pest control. This is needed to stop disease spreading, the spread of unwanted pests such as green snail and as well as weeds of national significance. I will only ever buy plants from a certified nursery that is part of the nursery industry association, meaning these things are not an issue. If they aren't certified then I will have a good knowledge of that nurseries practices and standards. The above mentioned things cost this country millions of dollars each year to combat and control and are a significant problem for our country. 1.
