Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Feb 05, 2014 2:29 pm Hi all, looking for some thoughts about plant and more so tree selection down one side of my house. See pictures below. Basically I have a kitchen splash back window which sees out to the side. I have an empty garden bed in front of that about 950mm wide between two work in progress screens. On the opposite side along the fence were thinking of planting some trees, keeping in mind the neighbour is there to. I've spoken to them and they're pretty reasonable and happy for us to do what we think is right. Has anyone got any ideas on what would suit this area considering the width from fence to bed is 3m and we would need some type of pathway. Also something that's safe root wise. I like vase shaped likes trees and I'd be really keen on something like a cherry blossom if there was something similar enough. Something really pretty with some pink or red flowers, leaves. I already have a white crepe myrtle out the front and I'm considering these but thought others may have some good ideas. Do you need a tree screen or deciduous trees for winter sunlight? Thanks again for this information.
