Hi all,
I've a number of viburnum hedges planted in the strip between my driveway and my neighbour's walkway. It's planted by the previous owner and as it haven't got a lot of water, it's only about half a metre tall.
I'm thinking of removing the viburnum as it's difficult to open the car door, as they open straight into the hedges. In place of the viburnum, I'll have a paling fence constructed.
With the removed viburnum, I'm hoping to transplant it to the other side of the boundary fence, as it's a bare paling fence. Hoping that the viburnum could perhaps make it nicer. Not being an experienced gardener, I've been told that it's hard to transplant plants during summer.
So, just wondering if anyone has any advice on my plans? Worth doing it or better off getting rid of the viburnum altogether? Just found it wasteful to throw them away.
Thanks.
