Hi there,
I've got some issues with my fescue at home. I have put it on a small area back in April 2012 and let it thicken up over the winter. It is Munns's arid smart grass. Was very lush until mid December where yellow patches started to form on both the front and back lawns....
I found out it was african black beetle, so I put some eco grub down. They didn't go away, after following all instructions, so I managed to put some more down. and I washed the solution off the leaves. looks a bit like nitrogen burn to me.
The areas in question are below, and are mostly in shade most of the day, and have had brand new top soil with fertiliser put down. once established I watered long and deep twice a week.
Any ideas? We have a heatwave in Melbourne this week so I am keeping up the water to it.
Would you recommend just starting again with more fescue or a different type of seed? the front is just temporary until we redo our driveway (there will be another spot there) in cobblestones. But the back is near where my daughters cubby is, and we look out at the lawn directly from the house so its important for me to look nice. That is almost constantly in shade so I dont know what the problem is.
Any help would be much appreciated!
