Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Jan 04, 2014 10:58 pm We have had a quote today to remove 8 large gum trees (incl stump removal) for $20,000! I am blown away byu this as its double what I expected. The guy who gave us the quote said the trees were taken to timber yards and used for fire wood which I know both are expensive and Im sure he gets good money for. I just have this feeling we can go about it in a different way to get some of that money back or reduce our costs. Has anyone any experience of this or advise please. We are getting more quotes done this week but I just want a bit of advise! Re: Reducing Tree removal costs! 2Jan 05, 2014 7:32 am How big are the trees? I would look for a company that mulches on the spot. If in Vic try Taylor's tree and stump removal they won't be the cheapest but are reputable. If you can get an excavator there it would be cheaper to hire a demo company if they are willing. I think you need to get more quotes & compare. You can PM me if you want the name of the company I have used previously. Good luck Re: Reducing Tree removal costs! 4Jan 07, 2014 6:33 pm Hi crumpsbuild, Im building at Berkeley Vale. During December I had 7 trees cut to stumps buy All Areas Tree Services. Give Greg a call on 0400312577. They gave me a really good price and i would have also got them to do the stump grinding but i needed them excavated. Greg's normal person that does this couldn't get there in the small timeframe so i used RME Civil to remove the stumps. Call Grant on 0414290888 if needing the stumps excavated. Hope this helps if you need more info send me a PM, happy to help. Martin Re: Reducing Tree removal costs! 5Mar 30, 2014 6:34 pm Thanks for all the advise above guys.
