Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Oct 13, 2013 8:44 pm Hi, My lawn care over the winter was next to non-existent, so towards the end of winter, the lawn is/was infested with a variety of broad leaf weeds. I devised this strategy that I started in the first week of September: - Cut the lawn low – not all the way down to soil, but pretty low to hopefully encourage new growth. Scrape away any thatching to give access to the soil and open it up a little. - Weed'n'feed a week later. - See how the weed'n'feed goes with the weeds and new growth. - Apply Powerfeed + Seasol to give the lawn a good feed. Since the first mow, I've done 2 hits of Weed'n'Feed. This seems to have taken care of the bulk of the broadleafs, so I'm happy with that. On the 3rd week, I applied my first shot of Seasol+Powerfeed, however, I incorrectly mixed 500ml of SS and only 250ml of PF for a 2l spray pack. No drama, I'll sort this out next time. I've waited 2 weeks, and now I'm ready for another SS+PF. However, the winter grass is a problem that I wasn't aware Weed'n'feed would not take care of. So I've got myself a bottle of Amgrow Winter Grass killer. Can I: Spray the lawn with the Amgrow. Immediately give it a SS+PF. Finish off by giving the lawn a good drink?
