I've also followed the application rates in Peter Coppin's Amending & Improving Gutless Sands in WA. I have used 2kg/sqm of kitty litter, 600gm/sqm zeolite and 7 cubes of soil improver over 150sqm of fresh sand. This is after having a bobcat dig out the couch and old dead sand. After mixing everything in and doing a squeeze test, the soil is still quite crumbly and looks like it has barely enough organics. I've attached photos of the soil here.
