Hello everyone,
I would love to hear from anyone who had done kwik kerb edging to the garden. The main question is the price and the quality. I am thinking to use it on my front yard but I have to be careful with the budget. Thanks in advance.

Not happy! There were no cracks etc and it was well laid. Kwik Kerb is a franchise and one persons experience should not reflect on the overall brand. For example, the people next door asked for a quote while they were doing mine and theirs was a dark terracotta type colour that still looks the same to this day. Mine was a rental that I have since sold but the faded kerbing did nothing to enhance the place although it initially looked great. One thing that really annoyed me was that next door's length of kerbing was the same as mine and followed the same contour but I found out that they paid considerably less. I never ever recommended the franchise when asked. I can only recall one person ever asking and I know for a fact that Kwik Kerb didn't get that job. That person did however have virtually the same type of work done but I don't know who the other company was. Theirs still looks great. Given that there is more than one mob doing the same work, I would phone more than one and get quotes. Also ask about the warranty and what it covers. The Kwik Kerb franchisee didn't want to know about the colour disappearing but I put that down to the un-professionalism of the franchisee that I dealt with. On reflection, I should have contacted the head office and complained about the colour disappearing. I wish that I had taken photos after it was done. The finish also looks better if it curves rather than runs in a straight line. 3in1 Supadiverta. Rainwater Harvesting Best Practice using syphonic drainage. I have left my number over a month ago for someone to give me a call but still did not get any. That's probably tells it all... it's a pitty, as I would like to have somehting like this installed... Maybe give one of the other franchisors a call, the product does look good and has been around for a long time now. I had the feeling that the guy I got hadn't been doing it for all that long. I can't remember what the price was like but it wouldn't be relevant to today's costs anyway. 3in1 Supadiverta. Rainwater Harvesting Best Practice using syphonic drainage. Re: Kwik kerb 5Aug 30, 2013 10:47 am For some reason, there is only one number on the web site and then you have to leave the number for someone to give you a call... they don't let you know who is working in the area or give you the number of franchisors... will try one more time but don't have much hope... Also ask about. People always know people. Check with the neighbours, estate handyman, etc. Re: Kwik kerb 7Aug 30, 2013 1:34 pm Thanks Saint Mike, I will look around. Look for "garden edges" etc. Kwik Kurb may be OK - but as said above - they are all different - and may charge accordingly - where-as the local bloke may be cheaper .... but may not ... My bloke made a mistake - ripped the lot up and did it as asked. If you're in SEQ - above Brisbane - I can pm you his name. The borders done this way are good though. You may be looking at around $20 per metre. |
