A year ago I have planted a row of those. They were about 60-80cm high then. Full sun position, soil was beautiful and worked up extremely well, beautiful location, no competition. They barely survived that one HOT day this Dec/Jan, got burnt badly and eventually I was left with only half of their original planted height (due to the top parts getting burnt).
And more ...
They are extermely SLOW growing, and to put on ANY new shoots (which are super easily distinguished by colour), they need kilo and kiloloters of water (or heavy rains) every other day.
I'd wish to hear if anyone else has had the same experience with this widely praised plant. I was expecting to get a hardy plant that grows with little care and little water - got a complete opposite.
