If you want to box it in instead of using soil use a coarse aggregate like scoria. This allows airflow to the trunk, which will stop the trunk rotting, and allows air to the roots system which is what is keeping your tree alive. For decoration you can put a light layer of chunky wood mulch or decorative pebbles on top of the ugly scoria. thanks, I think I will use decorative pebbles I already have. Looks like I have some work to do. thanks Chippy, i hope they have applied sealer but i am doubt to be honest, so i am gonna do this job after handover. 8 11857 2 4491 |
