If you don't want them then treat them like weeds and pull tgem out. If you have bare areas with no vegies growing except peas, you can let them grow until they flower then chop them up and turn them through the soil which will act as a green mature for your soil. Some peas are grown just for manure not for eating. Re: Pea Mulch 6Jun 11, 2013 7:53 pm Make sure Pea Mulch is not used in summer without being covered with a rough course mulch. Straws (of all types) do not in anyway meet any standards for conserving water (regardless of what perceptions people have that it does). In winter this is not such a problem with high rainfall and low evap rates. |
