Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 May 29, 2013 12:20 pm hi there, we're about to put our vegie patch it. it will be 12m x 2.4m so around 24 square metres in size. The hire for a rotary hoe would be $200 for a day including delivery (don't have a trailer). It would be fast, although I am wondering if we can get a whipper snipper attachement for the same price or even a separate hoe. It would take longer and wouldn't go as deep but it'd be an investment and handy if we had to retill the vegie patch at some point or for some other grass. Any ideas? http://www.betterrentals.com.au/hire/hy ... otary-hoe/ or http://www.troybilt.com/equipment/troyb ... cultivator http://www.masters.com.au/product/90003 ... cultivator Re: hiring a rotary hoe hydraulic or buying a petrol one. 2May 29, 2013 10:59 pm Hey mynameisjonas I would hire , instead over buying . I have the whipper snipper attachement ... which works okay . But it doesn't have the power of the rotaty hoe Cheers Stig Re: hiring a rotary hoe hydraulic or buying a petrol one. 3May 30, 2013 9:11 am Thanks, it's pretty soft soil with some grass on top, but mostly weeds. I think I will give it a go anyway, and use it to till the vegie patch in the future. Thanks for the advice though Yeah I don't know why I came to a forum. Place is full of wierdos/pedos thought internet may help but I suppose I'll try my luck with someone in person. Cheers.
