Even subtropical cherries may not be capable of producing fruit in coming years. Estimates by both BoM and AMOS suggest Perth will be having a similar climate to Moora and Geraldton in 5-10 years. That will see temps out of reach of many low chill varieties of fruit trees to produce viable crops.
