Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Apr 25, 2008 6:11 pm Does anyone know a good landscaper in melbourne that will service the point cook area?
Would you know how much it will cost for the front landscape and to buy the plants, gravel, compost, etc I mean to get it all done including drip irrigation system (which is a mandatory requirement in our estate) Will the landscaper take care of getting the dripping system installed as well? Re: Landscaper in Melbourne Point Cook area? 2Apr 25, 2008 11:13 pm I live in Point Cook, my suggestion would be to grab one of the local newspapers:
Hobsons Bay Leader Wyndham Leader http://www.leadernews.com.au/ Werribee Banner/Point Cook Banner http://werribee.yourguide.com.au/home.a ... ast_id=208 The classified sections in the back are the best source for local tradies (most of them don't advertise in the yellow book). That's were I got my bobcat guy, alarm guy, plumber, brickie, bin hire, aerial installer guy, roller shutter blind girl, and curtain girl from. You should be able to get a copy from the milk bar on The Strand or from the newsagency at Sanctuary Lakes Shopping Centre, or give the newspaper a a call and they'll send you a copy for a couple of bucks. Or if you come on a Tuesday night you can nick one out of a letter box....just not mine.... You only need one of the papers as the ads are repeated across all of them. I've been happy with the local tradies maybe because they try not to cr*p in their own nest..... mmm....donuts Homer Simpson 1956- Links: Site Costs Ready Reckoner | H1 Addiction Medical Advice | Château TDL: The Backyard Re: Landscaper in Melbourne Point Cook area? 4Apr 25, 2008 11:43 pm royalblue err....wow...oddly enough he doesn't advertise in Point Cook.... mmm....donuts Homer Simpson 1956- Links: Site Costs Ready Reckoner | H1 Addiction Medical Advice | Château TDL: The Backyard Re: Landscaper in Melbourne Point Cook area? 6Apr 25, 2008 11:59 pm to_do_list I live in Point Cook, my suggestion would be to grab one of the local newspapers: Hobsons Bay Leader Wyndham Leader http://www.leadernews.com.au/ Werribee Banner/Point Cook Banner http://werribee.yourguide.com.au/home.a ... ast_id=208 The classified sections in the back are the best source for local tradies (most of them don't advertise in the yellow book). Also, what does the aerial installer guy do? Is it for the tv? Re: Landscaper in Melbourne Point Cook area? 7Apr 26, 2008 12:06 am royalblue Oooo nice ones but these designs seem more suitable for a large garden or hotel.. Re: Landscaper in Melbourne Point Cook area? 8Apr 26, 2008 12:12 am dreamhome Talking about the alarm guy, did you get your alarm system installed after you moved in? In my current house the alarm guy pre-installed the wiring and then came back once the house was completed. The builder was cool with that eight years ago...from what I read on the forum it depends a lot on the builder. I'm about to move to an established house and will have the same alarm guy lined up to do it...currently waiting on a quote. Alarm guy also did CAT5 (blue computer cabling - old tech now) and some electrical as well. dreamhome Is it cheaper to do so or should i get the builder to do it? No idea...I didn't want the builder doing it because I was picky about the alarm system dreamhome Also, what does the aerial installer guy do? Is it for the tv? Yes TV, wired to all bedrooms, lounge, study, and family and installed an aerial splitter and booster (?...insert correct term) to ensure signal strength was maintained throughout the house....and aerial. mmm....donuts Homer Simpson 1956- Links: Site Costs Ready Reckoner | H1 Addiction Medical Advice | Château TDL: The Backyard Re: Landscaper in Melbourne Point Cook area? 9Apr 26, 2008 12:36 am to_do_list dreamhome Talking about the alarm guy, did you get your alarm system installed after you moved in?
