When I have looked at bunnings they only had very finely carved sandstone pavers. I was wondering if there was a more accurate term to describe what I am looking for (and where to get them from)? Usually used to clad a besser block wall to dress 'er up a bit. Real sandstone tends to be sawn if is is thin so you end up with less wastage but a smooth face - not what you are after. The thicker sandstone is hand hewn or split but starts at about 100mm thick. I think from memory it is called quarry face. Imitation ( reconstituted ) stone or limestone may be your only option at that thickness. http://www.adelaidestone.com.au/products.htm There are veneer and dimension (building) stone thicknesses, and corners in real stone. mostly smooth face though but give them a call - they may have or know where to source your item. You also don't say where you are. In Sydney, Gosford quarries is a good source of sandstone products.
