They sell it as Zeochlor pool filter sand replacement. Every store has to have it. I have seen it sold at SeaBreeze landscapes up near QuinnsRocks but they didn't know what it was for. Nick Bell can also supply it in bulk or bags. Also available from Gardeners Direct online and from Mirco Bros Nth and Sth of the river. Bentonite is sold as Clay or Clumping cat litter sold at supermarkets and pet shops (as mentioned in numerous posts.) It's the cheapest and most affordable option. Some supermarkets have 10kg for $5-8 Not the best of course, but it works well. It contains Sodium Bentonite. Mirco Bros, and many farming outlets, sell TruFeed Bentonite as a cattle feed additive. It to is Sodium Bentonite. Keeps cattle full and hydrated during transport. I prefer using this because its fine and pulverised. Easy to use and work with. I think it's a 20kg bag for around $15-20 ea. http://www.plantsman.com.au/page2/files ... 20clay.pdf Then the best Bentonite to use is Calcium Bentonite. Pretty easy to get for those South of the River from http://sustainableoutdoors.com.au/categ ... nite-clay/ In the North, Calcium Bentonite can be bought from the Organic Shop behind the Caltex on Karrinyup Rd near the freeway overpass. http://www.petercoppin.com/pdfs/amendin ... rth_wa.pdf http://www.petercoppin.com/factsheets/s ... ckists.pdf Then we look at the luxury forms of Bentonite. These products include silts, rock minerals, zeolites and in some even more goodies. Sand Remedy is available from my fav mob, The Greenlife Soil Company. Sand To Soil is a very good product sold in most garden centres. Has confusing application rates on it though. However, all these products are poorly understood by the horticultural, nursery and landscape industries. These industries need to "school up" on these products as they will be what ensures their business growth in years to come. Until they do you are only likely to hear about soil amendments here at Homeone, GreatGardens workshops, The Water Corp, SwanRiver Trust, and Beyond Gardens workshops. Oh, and in Josh Byrnes talks too. Re: Where to purchase bentonite clay 3Feb 08, 2013 1:07 pm Fu, you are a godsend Building again . . with Redink Pre-start 04/12 Keys - 03/13 Finishing off. . .
