Hi,
Complete newby to herb gardening, but thought it would be fun little project to do with my 4 yr old son
Anyway, went to bunnings and bought a saxon mini greenhouse, coriander, parsley, basil, mint, oregano, thyme, chilli seeds and some seed raising mix....filled the plastic tubs with the seed raising mix, and my 4 yr old was a little exuberant in making the "holes" for the seeds (they were 1/2 inch deep)....is this too deep? (Some of the basil has already sprouted...it's been a week so far).
The other issue is that the tray got flooded with water due the rains on the GoldCoast(Monday)...I emptied out all the excess water(Tuesday morning)
So, really 3 questions
If the seeds are planted too deep, will they still germinate/grow?
Will the excess water(Now removed) stop the seeds from growing?
On the GoldCoast - Do I need to keep the mini greenhouse outside (direct sunlight+nights) 24/7?
Cheers
