Hi all first time poster but avid reader on this great community which has helped me out a lot in the past. I'm looking for some advice on the Euonymus Tom Thumb.
I've planted 30 of these to create a hedge along our garden bed which runs along the side of our pool. So far so good, they're about 10-15cm in height however we have had a massive burst of heat here in SA like most of Australia and some (maybe 7 or 8 ) of these plants are now showing leaf scorch or dying leaves. 2 are pretty bad the rest just parts which appear to be struggling. Given it was extreme and 45 degrees its hardly surprising they've suffered.
I'm just wondering moving forward how I should care for these little shrubs? How often should they be watered, can they recover from this scorching or dead leaves, should the dead leaves be left alone to offer protection for those below which are still alive and appear nice and green? Should they be removed? etc etc.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Ben
