Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Dec 29, 2012 9:20 am My Empire Zoysia lawn has now been established for a couple of years, and I've discovered some generic areas that my sprinkler system is not reaching (that's another DIY project...) In an attempt to improve the overall health of the lawn and help the more healthier parts spread to the not-so-healthy areas, I'm wondering if I should dethatch. From my reading, it should be done in early spring so the lawn has time to recover - if I'm able to time it right with some reasonable weather days (somewhere in the mid-to-high 20's), is it worth doing it now or should I hold off?
